SCHOOL TALKS AND ASSEMBLIES

In this engaging and empowering session, Nadia helps young people navigate the challenges of shyness and discover how to embrace their authentic selves while stepping into their full potential. Designed for both primary and secondary students, this session can be delivered as a school assembly or as a classroom workshop or talk, either in person or via Zoom.

Students will gain practical strategies they can implement immediately to take control of their shyness, build confidence, and participate more fully in school and life. Beyond benefiting shy students, this session raises awareness among their peers, fostering a more empathetic and inclusive school environment. With a focus on empowerment, not change, Nadia inspires students to step out of the shadows and shine on their own terms.

“Nadia’s visit to our primary school was truly inspirational. Her unique message resonated so well with both staff and children. Rarely have we had a guest who was able to articulate such an interesting and thought provoking message, in such an accessible and relatable way. Her time at the school will leave a legacy.’

Nick King

Head Teacher, Scarning VC Primary School, Norfolk

“‘We just wanted to thank Nadia for coming to speak to the children at St Michael’s School. The children thoroughly engaged in her school assembly and workshops. Nadia’s gentle encouragement made such a difference for our quieter, less confident children. She shared inspiring stories from her upcoming book which resonated with their struggles. Nadia’s warm and approachable manner really helped engage everyone, creating a safe space for sharing. By the end of her session, even the timid children felt inspired to embrace their uniqueness and felt confident to explore their ability to be ‘mighty’!”

Huge thanks to the brilliant Author Nadia Finer for an absolutely amazing visit to Michaelchurch today!
Nadia delivered such a powerful and moving message to our children – one that truly resonated. She spoke about the power of being quiet, and how being shy isn’t a weakness, but a superpower. She reminded us that so many inspirational people – from Lewis Hamilton and Marcus Rashford, to Beyonce and even Einstein – have felt the same way. And yet, they still followed their passions, pursued their dreams, and made their mark on the world.
It was one of the most touching author visits we’ve ever had.”

Headteacher, Michaelchurch Escley Primary School

We had the pleasure of Nadia Finer come to talk about her book ‘Quiet Riot’ and being the shy child in school. It was truly inspirational to hear her talk about being the shy child in class but how that calm voice is just as powerful. It was important to see and hear a role model for those who often do all the right things quietly in the background to see what amazing feats they can achieve.

Darren Armoogum

Headteacher, Bernard's Heath Junior School

“Nadia visited our school and gave an emotional, relatable and well-crafted speech that really made us all consider what shyness was. Nadia made the importance of all voices being heard very clear and her message was especially powerful for some of the shy year 7 girls in the audience. She also answered our students’ questions brilliantly and really inspired them – we wish she could speak to all of our shy students and take away their fears!”

Mr Quilter

Teacher, Monk's Walk School

“Nadia Finer is a phenomenal inspiration for young people. I loved hearing her techniques for re-framing your fears and embracing the thing that makes you unique. Her talk was especially moving for those who struggle to find a space for their quiet voice to be heard.”

Emma Russo

Teacher, South Hampstead High School

“We thought Nadia was very good. She met the students where they were and gave a really inspirational talk. The students responded really well to her as did the parents. We were very impressed. Thank you!”

Naomi Ross

Head of Sixth Form, Loreto College

“Thank you for the great session today. As someone who struggles to speak to people, (small groups and large ones) I found your talk really inspiring.”
